September is the time to support Music in Hosptials and Care

Mr Sparkler's September 2023

Here I am 72 1/2 years old and still trying to help others: when actually I need help myself!! Aging and inflamed joints and muscles, failing urologicals, declining cognitive ability and sheer fatigue mark my Autumn years. So why take on the challenge of trying to raise a little money by cycling, walking, certainly not jogging for an organisation bringing some joy to those in some some of care facility; be it hospital or residential care home?

I'd like to give you the philanthropic response - but I'm probably just a show off. My ego is likely the last remaining aspect of my being that survives relatively unscathed by age and catastrophe! However, seriously friends, I care.

I've sung in care homes since before 2010; when I started in my Mom's Care Home in Wolverhampton. I don't have those those pics to hand as I've archived them to save space and money on Google Drive.

Ha ha!! some guitars that have come and gone! Some good times before the world changed!! I now depend on my little Martin Junior Dreadnought and Epiphone EL00pro. Norman is waiting in the shadows for re-fretting; possibly.

Any way - back to the Blog! I'm trying to raise this little bit of cash (£75 - for moving 75 miles during September) As it stands this afternoon I've done 11.25 miles on foot/on exercise bike and real bike - so it's another 63 and a bit left for the month. I hope to achieve it. I hope to raise the cash - but that's down to others - like you!

Anything you can contribute will help: believe me it's a great cause.

I will keep you all updated until I'm blue in the mouth and you're totally fed up with me. This "Influencer" job is a tough one.

Take care everyone. R
